Philadelphia Regional Noyce Partnership Teacher Scholarship

The Philadelphia Regional Noyce Partnership–Scholarship (PRNP-S) at Arcadia University is an award to three or four students each year between 2019 and 2022. It is funded through a National Science Foundation grant, which was awarded to PRNP to fund scholarships in Science, Technology, 工程, and 数学 (STEM) teaching programs at Arcadia University, Saint Joseph’s University, Temple University, La Salle University和 Bryn Mawr College.

To apply for a $15,000 PRNP-S, a student must be:

  • Pursuing or received a B.A. or B.S. degree in 数学 or Science.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge in mathematics or science and the potential for commitment to excelllence in teaching.
  • A U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident alien.

The National Science Foundation has awarded Arcadia University a grant for $178,249 as part of the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program.

Please note PRNP-S is contingent upon acceptance into a graduate program as a:

  • Current undergraduate who will apply to the 五年计划
  • Post-Baccalaureate student who will apply directly to a graduate teacher certification program in 一般科学, 生物学, 化学数学.  Coursework completed in the certification program can be applied to a Master's degree.

  • Completing the teacher preparation program and meeting the 出口要求.
  • Teaching for two years in a high-need school district, or the scholarship becomes a repayable loan.  Recipients have up to four years to fulfill their Noyce teaching obligation before the scholarship reverts to a loan.
