The 校友 Career Mentor Program matches alumni volunteers with current Arcadia students based on similar interests, majors, geographic location, and career goals. The 职业导师计划 had developed from a partnership between the Arcadia University 校友会 and the 荣誉计划 to a program that engages alumni and students in all University majors and programs, including graduate programs. Since its inception, 256 student mentees have been matched with 138 alumni mentors.
The relationships that are built throughout a professional and personal journey are some of the most important influences on an individual’s success and happiness. As such, it is very important to help students create these mentoring relationships, and who could be better to provide this assistance than alumni who once sat in the very place Arcadia students are in today?
Your role as an alumni mentor does not necessarily require a large time commitment. The program’s success relies on finding the right amount of support that will benefit you and your mentee. Many times, a phone call or an email can be a helpful support.
